Taiwanese omakase, food overall very good, we had the ¥1500 Menu which had: 1. Sashimi platter - Very fresh and shiok. 2. Prawn w Nian gao - Fresh, niangao soak the flavour of the zhup. 3. Abalone bomb - Tastes like the ocean, can taste the terroir and super delicious. 4. Crab Mee Sua - Wok hey taste very nice, crab also nice. 5. Tiger grouper w lala - Super shiok, I loved it, was steamed in baking paper, cool method I will try next time. 6. Local beef cubes w potato - Nice crispy outer layer, beef itself was so-so. 7. Chicken and fish soup - Good!!!! The fish stomach was very jelly, I like the texture. 8. Smoked bamboo shoot & scallops - Very smoky of course, not overly done and bamboo was still crisp on the outside but soft inside. 9. Taro milk dessert - Damn shiok. Really very good even though I don't like taro. * We had an incident where the vege was not good and they replaced it with (8). Be sure to voice any dissatisfaction on the spot and the staff will be happy to assist. Overall can go again if we are in Kaohsiung, not sure if it's a must visit, but it's really good.

Amazing experience here at this Taiwan “Omakase” restaurant. Food was way worth the price of 1000NTD per person. Super classy place with friendly staff. Definitely worth. Please call in advance to book if you may need to wait.

Food wasn't as good as expected, beef was under seasoned as others have said here. Dessert was exact though.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Old New Taiwanese Cuisine... We had no reservations but we were given a table... Food was fresh and tasted exquisite... Would definitely come back when in Kaohsiung

Perhaps one of the best local Chinese meals I’ve had in a while—simple yet exquisitely prepared with an elegant touch. Good portion too. The restaurant offers 7–8 course omakase menus at various price points, serving traditional banquet-style dishes with a modern twist. The ambience evokes the charm of old Chinese/ Western -Japanese colonial times, adding to the overall experience. Service was excellent although very quick and busy, I’d love to return to explore more of their menu someday. In 2024, Old New Taiwanese Cuisine was named a Bib Gourmand in the MICHELIN Guide Taiwan.

Highly recommended by locals. Went there on a Saturday and we are lucky to get a table for 3. Booking ahead is highly recommended. It is Omakase style and price start from 1K,1.2K and 1.5K. We opted for 1.2K. Food portion is reasonable and taste not bad. Beef cube is overcooked.
